Role description
Under minimum supervision, the 9920 Public Service Aide, Assistant to Professionals assists in the performance of a variety of duties related to the functions of the assigned departmental unit; carries out complex tasks on a limited basis in direct support of professional level personnel; may be responsible for researching and compiling data; assists in the preparation of related reports and documents; assists in the implementation of programs and assists in various administrative duties.
SFPUC - Business Services - Financial Services
Under supervision of assigned supervisor/s, the public service aide (intern) will have the opportunity to learn general accounting functions, as well as specific skills, including research and compiling data, report preparation, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft Financial, office equipment and record filing. The intern will be trained to review and process payments, budget allocations, employee reimbursements, cash deposits, and various journal entries. The intern will learn City and Departmental accounting related policies and procedures.
