Understand PCS Appointments

In accordance with Civil Service Rule 113, the Department of Human Resources (DHR) is required to post the name, department, classification, and eligible list rank of all Permanent Civil Service (PCS) appointees.

Civil Service Rule 113 applies to all classifications except the Uniformed Ranks of the Police and Fire Departments and the Service-Critical classes at the Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA).
